Hazel can be split into strong thin rods to make beautiful baskets. Ruth spent time researching traditional hazel basketry in Wales and has been teaching the techniques since 2005. Ruth has also produced a documentary dvd showing the skills, techniques and history of Hazel basketmaking, that is available from the Basketmakers Association website.
